Tracey Hinkle

Tracey Hinkle is Chief Operating Officer at Vela Wood. Tracey leads all day-to-day operational and administrative functions across the organization. Her scope spans HR, marketing, technology, and people operations — with a constant focus on building systems that are practical, adopted, and built to last. In this role, Tracey is the connective tissue between firm leadership and staff. She works closely with equity partners and department leads to understand what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs to change — then acts on it.
Tracey brings a unique mix of operating experience and strategic leadership. Over the course of her career, she has led large-scale transformation and growth initiatives across consulting, technology, innovation, and founder-led businesses, including senior leadership roles at Accenture, Cisco, Ericsson, PE-backed SaaS firms, and, most recently, serving as COO of a Texas-based healthcare organization. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Accounting and later received her Master of Business Administration with honors from the University of Central Oklahoma. Tracey enjoys spending time in nature, listening to music, painting, cooking, and cheering on her favorite NBA team — the OKC Thunder!
