Lauren Figura is a Venture Legal Assistant at Vela Wood. Her role includes managing Secretary of State filings, supporting entity formations and dissolutions, organizing and maintaining documentation, and supporting VW Senior Attorney Mattison Raiford. Lauren graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in History. Prior to joining Vela Wood, Lauren served as a Marketing Intern at Vela Wood, a Marketing Intern for the SMU Abroad Office, and as an accredited writing tutor at SMU. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, exploring new live concert venues, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
