Prior to joining Vela Wood, Sherwin practiced at Baker Botts L.L.P. for more than a decade.

Sherwin graduated with high honors from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Sherwin was an Associate Editor on the Texas Law Review. Prior to law school, Sherwin graduated with highest honors from the University of California at Berkeley, with a degree in business administration.

  • Represented a business-services company in a lawsuit involving allegations of breach of contract, tortious interference, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, unjust enrichment, and misappropriation of trades secrets, as well as the scope and applicability of the Texas Citizens Participation Act*
