Jennifer Steiger graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas. While in law school, Jennifer concurrently completed a M.B.A. at the University of Texas, McCombs School of Business. She also served as the Co-Editor in Chief of the Texas Journal of Women & the Law. Prior to law school, Jennifer graduated from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California with an A.B. in Political Science. Prior to law school, Jennifer worked as a paralegal at Irell & Manella LLP in Newport Beach, California.
Prior to joining Vela Wood, Jennifer worked as an associate at Katten, DLA Piper and Morrison & Foerster. She has also worked in-house as counsel to the investment management division of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas. Jennifer’s prior experience focused on representing private equity sponsors, independent sponsors and family offices in private mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and equity and debt financings. She has significant cross-border experience and worked in Tokyo for two years.
