Daniel graduated from Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas. While in law school, Daniel completed the Business Planning Professional Track, was a member of the Baylor Barrister Society, and served as Vice President and co-founder of the Baylor Real Estate Legal Society. He also represented Baylor in the 2021 Duke Transactional Law Competition and 2022 UCLA Transactional Law Competition, and was awarded Best Buyer in the 2022 Baylor Transactional Law Competition. Prior to law school, Daniel graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas, in Richardson, Texas with a B.S. in Business Administration.
Prior to joining Vela Wood, Daniel worked as an associate attorney at a Frisco based mid-sized law firm. During his time at the firm, he represented private equity portfolio companies in their acquisitions of companies across the country, represented private real estate developers in their private offerings and debt financings, and represented founders in their exits. Daniel is a member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, Dallas Asian American Bar Association, and the Business Section of the Texas State Bar.

- Represented the largest oral surgery management company in the United States in its acquisition and reorganization of four Florida dental and medical practices and the sellers’ rollover equity exchange for equity in the top level parent fund*
- Represented a private equity portfolio company in its acquisition of a Georgia rubber making company, the F-Reorganization of the target, the formation of a new buyer and parent entities, and the five step rollover equity exchange from the existing top level parent fund to the newly formed target*
- Represented a Texas family owned and operated automobile repair company in its acquisition of assets via Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Auction and its later exit to a private equity portfolio company*
- Represented a Texas family owned homebuilding company in its exit to a Georgia buyer*
- Represented a Texas private real estate fund in its refinancing of 12 Texas student housing developments*
- Represented a Texas private real estate fund in its sale and assignment of 10 affordable housing developments to a Florida non-profit organization*

- He received 100 Grand for his legal services startup from his undergrad Entrepeneurship professor–unfortunately the chocolate melted before he could enjoy it.
- He is unlikely to ever move on from the Luka Dončić trade.
- He was the lead singer in a short-lived Oasis cover band.
